Finding Beauty Friday

04 October 2013

Hey my loves!! This Friday I am linking up with my beautiful friend Aimee from Dear Harper Blog to bring you finding beauty Friday. The purpose of this linkup up is to find the beauty in your life and capture it, so that you can it with others.

After a wonderful night of worship with my church my eyes can only see the beauty that God displays around us. Our worship leader mentioned Luke 12:27 about how God provides for the lilies so we should not worry about what He will provide for us. Immediately I thought of a dandelion, of all the flowers they have it the roughest with a quick wind they are naked and vulnerable but they still stand tall. I aspire to be like a dandelion, beautiful, naked, and fully exposed to the breath of my Savior.

Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Luke 12:27

  1. Thanks for helping me make this link up a reality friend!! I am so thankful for you!!

My beautiful moment this week: On Monday, I was driving to work and I just wasn't feeling it. We had only been home from OBX for about 13 hours and I was missing the beach. As I drove by a corn field, I noticed that a patch had been plowed. As I glanced down that strip of plowed field, I saw three beautiful deer enjoying their breakfast. I was suddenly very happy to be home in PA. I think it was God's way of reminding me why I love my home and this area. And in the early morning sunlight it was a beautiful scene. :-)

  2. how sweet! Love that dandelion example! I just went on a walk with my airport angel and it was a sweet moment (as always) - very encouraging, lots of life spoken and beautiful stars out as it was still dark :)

  5. Love the dandelion image. This was a very rough week- including a fight amongst some friends. Lots of words were said and my feelings were hurt- but this morning the most beautiful thing happened. Everyone apologized. Its hard for everyone to say they played a part- in reality it was an awful misunderstanding. It was the most beautiful feeling to know that the tension and fighting is over and everyone in our large group of friends is okay again.
