Lately (A Photo Post)

12 August 2013

I am seeking to grow in whatever ways God leads me to. Lately I have been living more, reading more, cooking more, baking more, laughing more, exploring more, loving more, and praying more. Since you could not be there with me I have been snapping tons of pictures.

A while ago my Hubby and I went to a fair and had an amazing time. We had not been to one since we lived in Florida so we were delighted to find one about 20 minutes from our apartment. The lights were bright, the people were noisy but it was so fun. We closed the night by returning a lost little girl named Panina to her grandparents and sharing an elephant ear for a job well done.

We also taken more walks together. Enjoy God's beautiful creation. I am definitely a city girl but there is something about the sound of rustling leaves and wind gently caressing you each time it blows.

I boycotted Whole Foods as it took them nearly two months to get my staple Organic Almond milk back in stock. It was positively outrageous.

I swooned in Homegood's as I was inundated with beautiful pieces from India - you know how much I love India. Surprisingly I only got two pieces to debut on the blog later.

I closed out the day by having lunch alone at one of my favorite places while catching up on some blog reading.

And lastly while visiting Mr.FixIt at work in upstate New York I saw these beauties while I was waiting in the parking lot. Bambi and Bambette, what marvelous creatures - God sure does His work well.

What has your week been like? Let me know in the comments below.

  4. Great pics! I haven't been to a fair in a long time. We have one on now called the EKKA, the royal Brisbane show - is on every year here in Queensland but notorious for people getting the flu so I've always steered clear - and because of the large numbers that go too. But there is nothing like a good dodgem car or big stick of fairy floss I must say. And to add to it - tomorrow is EKKA Wednesday so we get the day off haha. Can you believe it. A day off so everyone can go to the show/fair. And I will be at home attempting to bake your carrot cake :D
    Have an awesome week!!!

  6. Love this photo post! You definitely made a little girl happy to find her family. That can be scary. When I went to Disneyworld with some friends, we heard a little girl crying in the middle of the night at our door. Apparently she walked out of the room, the door locked behind her, and she didn't know where to go. I can't imagine.

I haven't been to a fair in ages, but it was always fun. Good catch on the deer. They come through my yard all the time. Sometimes 4 or 5 at a time. One day I may be able to capture them. They are beautiful creatures.

As for my week...I moved back to my home and have been working to pull it together before I start back to work on Monday. And I found some great $5 purchases at the Habitat Restore. Looking forward to some DIY projects in the near future. :-)
