Monday Mashup

01 April 2013

Hey Lovelies! Happy April.

Watch this video to catch up with me, you can also read about my weekend below as well.

This is the item we are going to pick up today, here is an sample of the email I sent to the seller as well. I know it has a typo....I can't win them all.

Anyhow, back to my weekend. It started pretty much on Thursday. I spent the day with one of my amazing friends chatting it up. We are also grabbed lunch at Panera Bread.....yes I am obsessed with it. If you have any pending dates with your friends, don't leave them hanging make plans to connect. Part of my life resolution for this year was about being more intentional about my friendships and trying harder to maintain them.

On Friday I spent most of the morning and afternoon putting a protective finish on this kitchen cart. This is one of the items I talked about in my CraigsList Haul video. This cart is made out of birch wood, so to protect it I covered it in Minwax Polycryclic Protective Finish. I did three coats for the top and two for the shelves and sides.

Before: You can see here that the color was more muted.

After: The richness of the wood is more defined you can also see the shine on the top.

On Saturday I added the final coat to the above mentioned item and reorganizing my kitchen and living room. I also had my first Google hang out session with two friends. As you can see it was a pretty low key day.

On yesterday, Sunday, which was Easter or Resurrection Day for some. Yesterday I also posted the last of the letters from the Letter's to God Series. I have to say that this last letter was all that I had been holding in for years from my friends and family members - it's great to pour it out to God though. I felt so refreshed after writing it. I haven't talked much about it on the blog but I am having a hard time finding a new house of worship. But I visited a new church yesterday and had a great time. I absolutely love my home church CFMiami, and I am trying my best not to compare other churches to it - trust me it's been hard. This new church was promising and I enjoyed the service very much. Here are some pictures I took during the service. They even had a short skit and some awesome worship music. I posted my favorite song from the worship below.

Heading out in the City.
They have a cafe! I swoon!
Part of the Skit and Sermon, the Cross has crashed down on you - Are you ignoring the Cross?

This Song is called Victor's Crown by Darlene Zschech. I hope you enjoyed it.

How was your week lovelies? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I know exactly what you mean by having a hard time finding a new church home. I've been in the same position for years now. I've been visiting around and, just when I think I'm comfortable, God finds a way to make it extremely clear to me that it isn't the place I'm supposed to make my home. I'm loving where I am right now, but I have yet to join. I'll be praying for you as you search for your new church home. :)
